
Healthy Lifestyle is a Life Enrichment Program designed to
enhance the quality of life for our residents through involvement in activities that produce a
healthy mind, body, and spirit.
Far different from the traditional “one-size-fits-all” activity program that is basically to keep people occupied, we promote meaningful, individualized pursuits which we believe are necessary to maintain health. This sense of purpose encourages the residents to continue growing and recognize their own self-worth.
Our staff gets to know the individual’s unique interests, talents, and values through initial interviews and ongoing conversations. With this knowledge, the program emerges, tailor-made with individualized pursuits and organized group programs.
We facilitate optional involvement in any activity by making it as convenient, interesting, and beneficial to the resident as possible. Attention is paid to any individual physical limitations. Whenever possible, outside sources such as local sites and people working in a specific field of interest are utilized to help accomplish our goals.
It is our personal desire to treat all residents with respect and dignity. With the help of this program, we hope more residents will feel empowered through mind, body, and spirit to become more aware of their own great worth.
